Electrical Engineer

Martarano Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager with an electrical engineering background to join our team.  MEI is a stable and growing MEP firm looking for professionals excited to expand their career and help guide our firm into the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of projects including proposal writing, scope development, design scope definition, scheduling, staff management, and construction administration.

  • Successful completion of projects while ensuring quality, on-time delivery within budget.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects across disciplines (MEP/FP) and with various clients across all stages of design and construction completion.

  • Lead and mentor all electrical engineering designers.

  • Oversee design disciplines on lighting, power and low voltage systems, electrical load calculations, and layouts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis).

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License. 

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for project management.

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams, AutoCAD, Revit and PDF editing.

  • Must have experience with specification writing including Masterspec or similar programs.

  • Strong working knowledge of applicable state and local building codes.

Mechanical Engineer

Martarano Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. MEI is a rapidly growing firm looking for professionals excited to expand their career in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Mechanical Engineering program with experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of architectural, engineering and construction industry and knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards. Must be able to manage multiple projects and have strong oral and written communications skills and experience and a working understanding of computer programs, i.e. Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Revit, ComCheck.

Licenses required: EIT preparing or already having taken the PE exam is a minimum. Registered
Professional Engineer capable of obtaining license in PA, OH, NJ, NY, DE, MD, if not already registered in those states. Three (3) yrs experience with EIT minimum; 5+ yrs experience with PE preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate heating and cooling loads for building systems

  • Survey existing mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems

  • Design air distribution and exhaust systems

  • Select and layout mechanical equipment

  • Calculate and design domestic water, sanitary and gas piping system and equipment.

  • Prepare job specific specifications

  • Meeting clients' project goals and objections

  • Responsible for business development and pursuing new clients and projects
